Description

Built from scratch starting in 1892 by Baron de Lassus. Of a Neo-Renaissance style, the castle and its outbuildings were designed by the Bordeaux architect Louis Garros. Majordomo quarters at the entrance of the estate. Outbuildings (stables, tack room) on the far western side. The castle is extended on the East by a chapel (1902-1905) with stained glass windows, marble, sacred heart by L. Barrias. The park is nearly 100 acres (Virginia tulip trees, purple beech, Lebanon cedar…), designed by Eugène Bülher and classified as a “remarkable garden”.
